Thanjavur big temple is considered as the worlds heredity monument.That means it is being studied very importantly throughout the world.It is the first complete granite temple.It was build by the rajaraja chola 1.It took 37 years to build this temple,from 985A.D to 1012A.D.It has being 1000 years since when it was buildup,there isn't a single crack in this temple.
rajaraja chola inscribed every workers name in the wall of the temple.Inside the big temple there is a big statue of siva lingam and front of it there is a big statue of nandi.
HOW THEY BUILDUP THIS TEMPLE TO BIG HEIGHTS?
It isn't be possible to build this temple without any machines today,But the ancients did such a type of engineering to build this temple.they did it by using the technic of see-saw.They put the rocks on one by one and carved or shaped it like a temple.In indian books they have told it is made of one huge rock,but it is wrong.It is made up of small rocks
